Self-defence

self-defence

Our self-defence workshops are designed to educate and empower.

The first segment of the workshop is focused on gaining understanding of the legal aspects of self-defence in the UK.

The second part delves into the topic of awareness and de-escalation. Participants are divided into groups to discuss threats in the surrounding environment and potential ways of preventing them. Moving forward, a discussion led by the Coach follows with a Q&A and further case studies and video analysis.

During on-site workshops participants are asked to perform a set of moves and role play as part of the de-escalation and conflict resolution practice.

Lastly, more advanced physical interventions are discussed and practiced (proceeded by reflex warm up drills). Depending on the setting, this can vary from simple wrist grab escapes and blocks, to defensive techniques from the ground.

According to statistical data, 1 in 5 women will be assaulted in their lifetime.
And this doesn’t include cases that go unreported.

If you are concerned about the safety of your colleagues, consider one of our self-defence classes, or enrolling them into our martial arts training programme. It is never too late to learn!
