Psychological workshops
The Wellness Movement have partnered up with Dr Sheri Jacobson and Harley Therapy to offer a variety of psychological talks and mental wellbeing workshops; popular topics include ‘How Best to Look after Yourself, Busting Work Stress, Resilience Building, Emotional Intelligence, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Loneliness, The Basics of Good Psychological Health and Returning Back to the Office’.
In all our corporate wellbeing workshops (online or offline) we encourage individuals in your organisation to take responsibility for their growth in ways which lead them to become more positive and productive.
We emphasise that self-improvement strategies are unique and to that effect we help individuals to create their own wellbeing toolkit and resources to lean on.
Here is a synopsis of some of our popular workshops:
How best to look after yourself
Sheri draws from 15 years of work as a psychotherapist and 15 years’ experience of overseeing a busy therapy practice to highlight the common causes of psychological distress. She will show that by acquiring skills to recognise your vulnerable spots, and look after yourselves now, you will be better equipped to cope with emotional hurdles as they arise.
Sheri will talk about how to recognise signs of psychological conditions, what resources you can draw upon and how you can build yourself a self-help toolkit.
Sheri's aim is to empower you to take charge of your psychological health and take steps to live a more fulfilling life, both professionally and personally.
Resilience
In this webinar we shall cover how to get on top of stress and build resilience.
The main focus will be on:
The classic and subtle signs of stress
Essential skills to stay on top
What to do when the going gets tough
Stress is similar to anxiety but there is a difference:
Stress
Our response to an actual stressor
Pressure on an object (Physics)
The outcome when something we care about is at stake
Anxiety
Our response to a perceived threat
We all have a metaphorical stress container, in it passes through the different aspects and events of our lives, including; work, money, family, relationships, trauma, bereavement and health etc.
We will take a look at the helpful coping methods available to us individually as well as the unhelpful ones, giving participants the opportunity to think about their own methods of dealing with stress. We end this segment by presenting a list of essential skills to stay on top of stress.
We then move on to the topic of resilience, what is it, why we need it, and how to build it.
We introduce the stress cycle via the use of the CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) model.
What triggers us, our thoughts, behaviour, body, and feelings, and what we can change to become more resilient and break the stress cycle.
We introduce a series of practical exercises across the webinar to keep participants engaged and focused on building resilience.
We end the session on what to do when the going gets tough.
Returning to the office
As organisations start to think about a part or fulltime return to the office, one of the most important things to consider is managing your employees state of mind.
In this interactive webinar we cover helpful coping strategies for facing the reality of heading back into the office, tackling the public transport system and mingling with colleagues.
Ways of observing and identifying our anxieties, stress and fears and how to manage these so as not to become overwhelming
Self-care strategies. How to effectively switch off from work
